Frequently asked questions
Why does the message "Table is occupied with another order" appear?
- The system does not allow opening two concurrent orders on the same table to avoid bill confusion. If a table appears occupied, you must access the existing active order on it and close, collect, or move it to another table before you can open a new order.
- Screen
- Restaurant management › Waiter screen
- Permission needed
- Restaurant - Orders and payment / Take orders and send them to the kitchen
Why does the system refuse to merge two tables if part of one is already paid?
- The message "Cannot merge an order that has been partially paid. Complete its payment first" appears to safeguard accounting ledgers. If a partial payment was received and a fiscal receipt issued for one table, the system prevents merging with another table; you must complete checkout of remaining items first.

- Restaurant - Orders and payment / Move and merge tables
Why can't the waiter cancel a dish that reached the kitchen?
- The message "Canceling an item sent to kitchen requires manager permission" appears. Unsent new dishes can be freely removed by the waiter; however, once Send to kitchen is clicked and cooking and ingredient waste begin, cancellation requires manager authorization (
restaurant.orders.void) along with entering a mandatory cancellation reason.

- Restaurant management › Waiter screen

- Restaurant - Orders and payment / Cancel an item that reached the kitchen or a whole order
Why does the message "Send new items to kitchen before payment" appear?
- If the waiter adds new items to the table and attempts to proceed to payment without clicking Send to kitchen, the system prevents them with an alert message to ensure items are documented, deducted from inventory, and sent to the kitchen before closing the financial bill.

- Restaurant management › Waiter screen

Why does the restaurant system require activating POS and inventory systems?
- The restaurant management system relies operationally on POS to process payments, daily shifts, and thermal receipts, and relies on Suppliers and inventory to register raw ingredients and track waste and plate costs; therefore it cannot operate without activating both.
